A post after a long long time!
Been mugging lately and I only get to take a few breathers now and then,
even though it's supposedly our June holiday now.
Nope, no holiday.
Only mug-every-day.
So so so I'm taking a break to blog because I've just had a fantabusome (fantabulous and awesome) day at the Trick Eye Museum Singapore!!
It was a day out for me and mah boo, Oink.
Got photobombed by this uncle behind us, hence the chick sticker lol. |
This place is like some huge studio where everyone is having their own photoshoot at the same time.
We took like over 200 photos in just 2 hours,
but of course in the end only about 90 made the cut hehe.
There are so many photos that I don't even know where to begin!
Ok I'm gonna start with this:
BWAHAHAHA
DON'T YOU THINK WE LOOK KINDA ALIKE?!
I can't get over this picture omg I just go pffft when I look at this pic.
Every. Single. Time.
Okay now I'm gonna share with yall some of my favourite photos taken from the museum.
I didn't take a photo with every single artwork because it got really crowded and almost everywhere you walk you will either be a) blocking somebody taking pictures b) blocking somebody whose picture is getting taken c) standing on/in part of an artwork.
SPOILERS UP AHEAD!
It's not everything (because trust me, there's a lot more to see at the museum)
but if you absolutely hate anything that spoils the fun for you then scroll no further!
Ok start le ahh!
I present to you a human-looking lizard on a bamboo.
This is me planking on the side of a bamboo.
High level planking right lol.
So terrified that my hair stood up. Or maybe I just have gravity-defying hair?
Not fair guys pull off the illusion more easily >(
He was so happy he got to be the giant for a moment.....
look who's the boss now huh? ;)
Taking this photo was kinda paiseh cuz everybody waiting for their turn was looking at me (which is perfectly normal because I look at the people taking their pictures while waiting for my turn) but I felt kinda exposed cuz I was stretching out and it just feels weird.
Maybe you don't get me now but you'll do when you try it for yourself haha.
He damn funny lor hahaha!! Took these 2 photos one immediately after the other.
He like acting like that haha auto change scene one.
I like this artwork cuz they provide the skirt!
There is only one size but it has an elastic band so should be alright for most sizes.
So happy they had a few artworks that are ballet-themed,
it excites the dancer within me haha.
He was super proud of this pic cuz he only took one shot and then 很有 feel 有没有?
I looove this pic! Cuz I'm a mermaid LOLOL.
Nice try.
He said that I look happy in this like
"Hey he's gonna be fish food so I'm just gonna pull him out wheee~"
Nahh more like
"Come back and be fish food later lah we go shopping first
LOOK THAT ONE GOT DISCOUNT LEH!"
And he super act cute one lor see I got proof.

Ok la at least to me the photos are cute la haha.
YO WADDUP.
SWAG CHECK SWAG CHECK.
I don't know why, but I kinda liked to pose with both hands up as though I'm under arrest.
I face-palmed when I saw the 2nd pic LOL I looked so silly hahaha.
I asked him if I looked stupid after I took the photo and he said nope.
Then when I checked the pic he pfft at me!
%&#@!$%#
Finally, this is the exit~
You actually end up at the place where you first entered and I think not many people really turn back to see that they actually walked out of a book/behind some books/in between 2 books.
And you won't really realise that it's a door when nobody is walking through because it was cleverly designed in such a way that the outlines of the door match the outlines of the 3 books.
I guess maybe in a way it's good cuz that way there won't be a queue forming behind that door when people wanna exit.
But now you know ;)
I enjoyed my visit to the Trick Eye Museum tremendously because it's really interactive and hands-on, plus it gets your creative juices flowing.
Our poses were kinda boring at first but as soon as we got the hang of it,
it becomes easier to think of wacky poses and silly expressions (though I think my expression is the same most of the time haha).
It does take a bit of courage to be able to do extreme poses when it's really crowded and everyone waiting for their turn at the artwork you're at is looking at you, but if you're thick-skinned enough like me, you'll be fine lol.
You also get to see others' creative take on each artwork as you move around.
We used my Samsung S3 camera at first but later we changed to his iPad mini.
Can't wait till I get a DSLR haha.
Any camera is ok, but if you have camera then I guess it's better than just using your phone's
because your photos will be of a better quality.
There wasn't any staff around at each artwork to help you take photos so if you're not shy you should ask for help from other visitors nearby.
The people we asked were all really nice and willing to help us snap some shots. :)
I suggest that if you wanna plan a trip there, reach earlier.
There was a queue at the ticketing counter before it was even open for the day wth.
We reached at around 9:50am and we got our tickets at 10:15am.
I'm not saying that you should reach as early as we did, but it's the same as USS and Adventure Cove and the S.E.A Aquarium.
The queue just gets longer and longer.
You should also wear comfortable clothes because you nid to do all sorts of poses e.g. lying on the floor and stuff so choose an outfit that won't make you flash easily.
Uhh I think my outfit made me look unglam doing some of the poses.
Hopefully I didn't flash....?
Yeah but sometimes my straps kinda slip into sight so...oops :/
Trick Eye Museum is having a 50% opening promo for tickets from now till 22nd June 2014!
That means adults pay only $12.50 while Children/Senior Citizens pay only $10.
VERY WORTH IT in my opinion because the auntie in me
gets excited when there are promotions HAHA.
It is located at Waterfront @ Resort World Sentosa.
Faster go while the offer and the holiday is not over yet!
We took the monorail to Beach Station afterwards and walked to the beach to chill.
It was kinda drizzling but still okay-ish.
Took lots of pics before heading back to Vivo for some Earle Swensen's!
Mango Prawn Salad |
Regular Earthquake |
The Mango Prawn Salad not only looks good, it tastes good.
The prawns were dipped in sweet and spicy Thai sauce and when you eat the prawn, mango and the lettuce together the mix of tastes was just really special.
Arghhh my mouth is watering (not literally hor) just thinking about it haha.

Ok la that's all, byebye folks! Thanks for reading! ^^
