Minnee in Korea Day 3 : Nanta Show, Myeongdong

First post of the year and it shall be on day 3 of my Korea trip!

We spent the day at Myeongdong, where we watched the Nanta show
and shopped around the area for cosmetics.

Here's the video!
Must watch till the end okay hahaha.
It's a very short one cuz we couldn't film the Nanta show and I was too busy
buying my cosmetics to film anything.
Hope you enjoy it!

It rained while we were looking for the building to watch Nanta
and I actually fell sick from getting drenched in the rain the next day.
We did use an umbrella but I got caught in the rain initially because
my jacket didn't have a hood :/

It seemed like it was snowing at first, but the snow melted
as soon as they touched any surface.
After some time it was pouring and it was super cold.

Didn't manage to get discounts for the Nanta show because we didn't book the tickets online.
Urgh that sucks :(

Learnt the lesson that you should always, always buy tickets online.
Still, we enjoyed the show which was great.

We caught the 2pm show which was the earliest timing they had for the day.
Had brunch near the guesthouse before taking the subway to Myeongdong.
We had to spend some time looking for the building after coming out from the subway lol.

Looking like a dumpling because I had 4 layers of clothes on.
Colour of the jacket helped too LOL.

 Before the show started...

Looked less like a dumpling miraculously after the show.

I think the show is great for all ages and I definitely recommend bringing your kids to watch it.
It's actually my 2nd time watching it, the 1st time was during my school trip 2 years back.
Still as awesome as before!
They were here in SG sometime back, not sure if they still are but if Korea is too
far for you, you can always catch the show when they're in SG haha.

Ate at a restaurant nearby afterwards and we were like the only customers around I think.
Maybe it's the awkward timing (neither lunch nor dinner time)
because I think the food was not bad.
Everything was beef on the menu. Yum yum.

There was even an ahjumma who cooked our food for us.
Not sure if they do this even when there are a lot of customers but I think
the service was good.

 Beef, anyone?

Those in the middle are beef tongue.

Initially I recoiled at the idea of eating beef tongue.
Seriously, tongue?

But it turned out not bad actually.
They were thin slices even though they look thick in the picture.
The ahjumma taught us to dip the cooked beef tongue in the lemon juice prepared for us
and the end result was a really special taste.
*thumbs up*

By the time we finished our dinner, it was dark already and it was snowing again.

 Wheeee~

Roamed around, bought cosmetics and tried some street food.
This 32cm ice cream is really good!
1 ice cream has 2 flavours and there were 3 choices to choose from:
Vanilla + Chocolate, Mango + Yoghurt and Strawberry + Green Tea.
The last combination is kinda weird lolol.
We tried the Mango + Yoghurt one and it cost 2,000 won (about 2.50 SGD).

Eating ice cream during winter might sound crazy but it's actually very shiok!
The ice cream doesn't melt easily and it just feels different.

We also tried some meatballs which were so spicy my bro had diarrhoea the next day HAHA.

Afterwards it was family gathering again back at the guesthouse.
Bought cup noodles from a convenience store nearby and nua-ed in our parents' room again.

I actually brought my iron curler to Korea LOL vain to the max haha.
Curled my hair for the day but the rain kinda ruined it -.-

Directions to Myeongdong Nanta Theatre (credits to visitkorea website):

1. Take the subway to Euljiro 1-ga station (Line 2) and come out from exit 6.
2. Go straight and turn left to Myeongdong gil (don't turn at the first corner or you'll end up getting lost like we did).
3. The theatre is located at the Unesco building.

I think this post is really short because we didn't do anything much la haha.
Just shopped and walked around.
Thank you for reading anyway!
The next post will be on Jeju hehe do stay tuned :)

Happy new year and have a great year ahead everyone! xoxo
