Helloooooo there! It felt like forever since I updated my blog.
I was either busy with work, away in Malaysia, down with eye infections or sickness.
Either those or I blame my laziness for the lack of posts.
I also found myself MIA-ing a lot on social media sites.
Pimple outbreaks have been bugging me this holiday, to the extent where sometimes I can't even bear to look at myself in the mirror.
Perhaps I haven't been falling sick during the academic terms that I have forgotten how it feels like to be harrassed by pain and fatigue, and to be bed-ridden most of the time.
It made me feel like I was wasting my holiday away.
Grrr. That feeling sucked.
I'm not sure if I look forward to 2014.
It's still too far away to think about it.

So for now I'm gonna take a walk down memory lane and reminisce the good (and bad) ol' 2013.

Bad Habits to Kick
Procrastination
Yes yes yes. Every year it's the same big word. Hmm reflecting a little I guess I improved a little but sometimes I just can't resist the temptation of lazing in bed a little longer hehe. I believe it is in my nature to be a lazyass pig. Sloooooooowly changing it because I know it isn't a good thing. Yupp, I will try my best. Errr starting tomorrow, ok?
The Bed-Potato
Got my inspiration from 'Couch-potato' for this word LOL. I'm absolutely in a faithful relationship with my bed and I feel like I never wanna leave it. I even do my homework on my bed (which is bad for my backbone) but I'm too used to it to kick the habit. In fact I'm typing this post while sitting on my bed right now. I feel like most of my time at home is spent on my bed and that's not really healthy because it just makes me feel lazier than ever. I should hit the couch instead yeah?
Spending Unwisely
Sigh. I remembered telling my mum that I would save the money I earn from work, but in the end I spent them on miscellaneous things that I shouldn't have wasted my money on. Well, gotta be more firm with the devil that says yes to shopping all the time. And maybe I'll restrict shopping sprees to days when my mum is not working muahaha.
Not Taking Good Care of My Face
Ohmygosh this is a major sin! There are no ugly women, only lazy ones. I belong to the lazy category boooooo. As much as pimples and blemishes are part of growing up, it can really bring down my confidence level.
Pimples are so obvious on my face because of my fairer skin tone and they stick out like sore (pun not intended) thumbs. I can almost hear them scream HI WE ARE PIMPLES AND WE'RE HERE TO HAUNT YOU POP POP POP. So I'm gonna be super diligent with my facial routines and keep these monsters at bay.

Of course, 2013 has been an eventful year for me.
Joining and winning my first pageant, going through Project Work,
visiting USS until I got bored and making lots of new friends made 2013 more bearable for me.
Memorable Events
Flashmob
My first flashmob ever, and it was for Mediacorp's SPD (Society for the Physically Disabled) Charity Show. We had the chance to work with Studio Wu, see local celebs dance up close and appear on TV for a short while haha. We did Harlem Shake and it was mega loads of fun.

SYF
My last SYF ever. I'll miss the feeling of preparing hard, coming back to school to practice on our own and preparing our own 头饰. I will also miss this batch of dancers dearly. :'(

NAFA performance, Dreams
Not sure if I'm continuing ballet (although it'd be a pity if I stop after so many years), but it was a great experience to have performed en pointe, and with such a beautiful costume. It's almost like a dream come true! Loved the dancers and the fun we had, although it was a tough journey.

Teenage Mission: Gorgeous You!
I joined for fun and winning was an unexpected outcome. Met many new friends along the way and it was a great experience. Wish I could go through it again! I was touched by my family and friends who supported me. It was a lot of work garnering votes but I'm happy the effort was worth it when I won Ms Swensational besides overall winner hehe. I still owe my friends a meal at Swensens LOL. Still haven't touched the vouchers hahaha.

Recording Covers
Experienced recording covers a few times thanks to my friend Zhane! It still feels weird hearing myself after recording but it's an amazing experience nonetheless. Thanks to Zhane, we had a song recorded for our Project Work Oral Presentation too!
YLEAD
Worked behind the scenes for commencement night. My camp experiences in RV has been eventful, from being a Participant, to a Facilitator, a Fam Head, an OC to a helper. I have experienced camps from different aspects and I will definitely miss camping.
For YLEAD the most memorable things I did was the Gentleman video haha. They used the song for the Cha Cha dance and we wanted a video with the words like "1, 2 Cha Cha Cha" throughout the whole song. It was challenging because the timings had to be right and we had to design the pictures ourselves. Super technical sia. And I'm happy that people enjoyed the video :)

Social Night
Thanks to Fangyuan who invited us, we had fun at this event. Although it was kinda awkward at first, we made friends and the buffet was not bad hahaha.
USS
Bought the student seasonal pass for $88 and went USS until I was kinda bored haha. My fav ride is the Cylon rollercoaster but it was down most of the time :(

Project Work
It was a tedious process. I won't say that I will miss the late-after-school consultations and the crazy amount of research we had to do, but I will miss the fun we had throughout this process. Like our horrible singing during meet-ups hahaha. Not a lot of photos to document our journey but I'll always remember you guys :)

I can't believe I spent the entire afternoon writing this post, finding photos and tying to figure out what the hell I was doing in 2013.
I'm so glad I decided to do this post because if you read the part before I started on "Memorable Events", I thought all I had was the pageant, Project Work, going USS and making friends. LOL.
Looking back, 2013 has indeed been a fruitful year.
I probably missed out a lot more events because of my STM, and I'm afraid you got bored halfway and probably never managed to read this part of my post haha.
