PRELIMS ARE OVERRRRRR!!

 

I must say, these 2 weeks of prelims have been hell for me.

It's not just because of the studying (well, that plays a part too),

but it's mostly because my body was staging a rebellion against me.

 

I don't know if it's something I ate or it's because I'm nervous about
taking exams, but last week was a week of consistent morning diarrhoea.

URGH.

 

I figured that it could be due to the stress cuz I only had diarrhoea on weekdays.

Just as I thought I had recovered this week, BAM!

Had migraine on the last day of prelims.

 

Thanks body, best gift ever.

 

I think it's the first time I ever had such a bad migraine.

 

My last paper was at 2:30pm today and I woke up early,
thinking of doing some last minute revision before the test.

But after I set the timer, I realised the words looked kinda funky
and I couldn't really see my right hand which was holding the pencil.

 

Of course I freaked out la.

 

I thought there was something wrong with my vision lol.
Scared the crap out of me.

 

That was for my right eye.
At the same time, my head was kinda throbbing on the left side.
I didn't really think much of it at first because I thought it was cuz of my new pimple
which was growing under my left eyebrow LOL.

 

But being the paranoid me, I went to Google "side vision, headache"
and some of the search results suggested that I was having ocular migraine.

 

Turns out that what I really had was a "migraine with aura",

according to some medical sites I read.

 

Having a blind spot (when I couldn't see my hand) is one of the few possible early
symptoms that often begins about 30min or less before the headache.
My left temple hurt so much that I couldn't do anything,

and while I tried to take a nap to relieve the pain I couldn't fall asleep because it hurt so badly.

 

After a while, I vomited my breakfast.

When I puked a second round, I finally went to see the doctor to get some medicine.

 

It was about 2 hours left till my paper and I didn't know if the medicine would work
in time for me to take the paper without the stupid headache.

 

I ate extremely little for lunch because I had no appetite but I had to eat something
before taking the medicine.

 

5min later, I puked all my lunch + my pill for migraine.

 

LOL now that I think about it, that image was kinda gross but funny cuz the pill was
colourful and it was just floating about in my puked lunch.

 

Okay okay too much info sowee haha.

 

I think I'm just damn freaking suay luh.

 

Thankfully the migraine was almost gone by the time I went for my exam,
just that halfway through the paper I was kinda sleepy haha.

 

Hopefully I didn't do too badly for my prelims lol.

Meanwhile... 38 DAYS TILL As.
Dear body, please have some mercy on me during As ok?

 

Sigh, I miss those days when the end of EOY = HOLIDAY MODE ON.
So jelly when I see juniors relaxing after their exams :(

 

Prelims may be over, but this war ain't over yet.

Bad Day

Hey there. I know I haven't been blogging for a looooong time because I have

been busy preparing for my prelims and A levels.

Prelims resumed yesterday after a one-week September break and it's day two today.

The reason why I'm taking time off to blog is because I need to rant about my horrible

morning today before I head off to my desk to study.

Be prepared to be either depressed by my sad life story or amused that

I actually have such rotten luck.

 

So the story started with me on the bus, heading to school.

EXCEPT THAT IT WAS NOT THE RIGHT BUS.

I thought I boarded bus 99. I thought.

I actually ended up on bus 98 instead... Time to get my eyesight checked lol.

I realized soon enough that I was on the wrong bus and quickly

got off before I end up somewhere ulu again.

(because I boarded 174 instead of 198 TWICE before and ended up at some ulu place.
Don't ask me how. I really thought I boarded 198 lol.)

Luckily, I knew where I was and what bus to take to reach school from there.

Time check: 25min till my paper at 8am

 

That bus was nowhere in sight.

Bus 98 came again and I don't know why but I decided to board it (LOL)
and I got off at the next stop at Lakeside MRT.

As if that helped. -.-
But I think it really helped cuz I saw that bus behind 98 right after I got off hahaha.

I never liked taking that bus to school simply because it stops at a

bus stop where I have to walk quite a distance to the hostel gate
instead of the main gate.

And guess what? The exam venue is nearer to the main gate,

which is kinda far from the hostel gate.

So I walked quickly and managed to reach about 10min before the paper started. #ninja

 

I ended feeling kinda hot and I was sweating a little,

so I didn't put on my jacket in the exam venue.

End result: I became Frosty the Snowman by the end of the paper.

 

LOL ok that was an exaggeration. But my hands were really freezing ok!

I had to write so much for my Econs paper that I didn't have time to stop

and put on my jacket urgh.

 

That's not all.

THE WORST PART: I had a horrible stomach ache throughout the paper.

 

Thank you so much, digestive system, for giving me such a wonderful time
trying to prevent everything from flushing out for 2 freaking hours.

 

Halfway through the paper I wanted to rush to the toilet so badly but I
couldn't because I wouldn't have time to finish my paper if I did.
So I waited till the paper ended in order to empty my bowels.

Awesome.

 

I think my hand writing got worse near the end of the paper
because I was running out of time AND I was in so much pain.

My words were like wild grass, spiking everywhere.

Not that they looked any better since the start of the paper, but oh well.

 

I guess that pretty much sums up my awful morning.
