My 2015 At A Glance

Just kidding, It's impossible to read all these with just one glance.
You need a few glances, at least xD

2015 is coming to an end and I want to blog about the wonderful year I've had.
Still having an inertia to finish blogging about my Korea trip from
last December because it's been so long and some details of the trip have faded.
I'm gonna try to finish blogging about it when I have the time and mood
to sit down and relive the memories alright!

BUT FIRST, LET ME TAKE A momenttotalkaboutmyyear!

1. 3-MONTH INTERNSHIP

Started my year with a 3-month internship with the most wonderful colleagues. I learnt a lot from them and it was a meaningful 3 months spent. After that I decided to just relax and have fun until uni started hehe.

2. TOOK UP A WATERSPORT

I have never been a sporty person. I've been a dancer my whole life and sports didn't appeal to me, simply because I suck at sports haha. However, I got hooked up on Flowriding after Claudia introduced me to the sport. It's so much fun that even the unglam wipeouts are hilarious to me. I've also been told that I've got a healthy tan now... Slowly but surely transforming into a beach bum.

With some of the members of our flow family :)

3. GOT INTO UNI

Getting my A level results was an unnerving event for me this year. It was a very tense and uncertain period for me, that's for sure. Luckily for me, I was accepted into NUS Chemical Engineering so whoopee!

 Participated in Engin Camp first

Joined Engin Bash with my partner Harry!

Signed up for ChESS Camp afterwards

Participating in Rag (Receive and Give) and Flag was also a memorable start to my uni life.

My first time participating in flag day, ever.

This year's rag was held at the Floating Platform thanks to SG50.
Super grateful for this opportunity and experience!

With my long time bestie Shuyi who was in FASS Rag~

The Street Jazzers <3

I decided to try a different style and joined Street Jazz. The reggae elements in the choreography made it more challenging for me but I've learnt loads along the way.

Next year we will make engin rag even better!

4. FIRST HALLOWEEN PARTY

Attended my first ever Halloween party at Zouk with some of my flowriding teammates and it was so fun because of all the costumes.

I dressed up as a unicorn this year and I was so. freaking. happy.
I still buzz with excitement as I think back to those memories.
Once a unicorn, forever a unicorn lol.

Found Groot and Antman! Their costumes totally scream effort sia.

Left: The 4 animals that got lost and ended up at Zouk
Right: The new member of the Power Rangers, Blue Unicorn ^^v

On a normal day, clubs don't appeal to me. Halloween made it much more fun and worth staying up late for, simply because it's hilarious to be a dancing unicorn.

5. DF CONCERT

It was a few months of preparation for the 2 days of performances at Kallang Theatre. Definitely a busy and tiring period for me but I'm glad I persevered and gave my best during the shows.

We're the jungle froggies!
Happy that I got to make new friends and bond with my fellow dancers through this reggae item.
This bunch of dancers are super responsible and motivated. Me like.

My DF Babes~
This year our hair all different colours cuz we badass lolol.
I love the chemistry between us when we dance together! Ai ni men o~

From L to R: Uncle Jacky, who brought me into DF and has been a wonderful teacher
Jo, my new-found cray cray friend xP
Auntie Jenny, who is an amazing friend throughout

From L to R: Siew Yeng, who came to support Jo but ended up
buying my tickets and realised I was performing too lolol
Weiling, the nice friend who encouraged me along the way
Kathy, the xiaomeimei who likes to hug me HAHA

From L to R: Jean, the 12 y/o who mixes with the jiejies
Lynette, the Pikachu lover who is ever-amazing with what she does
Gillian, the ballerina whom I can talk ballet-talk with ^^

My uni friends Chloe, Estelle and Andrew who came to support gandongz T^T

Fab came to support too! ^^

I think everyone put in lots of effort to make the concerts successful, from the committee to the backstage crew to the performers. Within those 2 days, I performed in a reggae item, a kpop item and a hiphop item. Talk about stretching my limits haha. The experience gained is priceless and I sincerely hope the audience enjoyed our performances :)

6. LEARNING HOW TO DRIVE

Completed my basic theory before uni started and procrastinated starting my practical lessons till after semester 1 ended. Nonetheless, I'm glad I finally started!

The first few practical lessons were so nerve-wrecking for me that I sat freaking straight and I barely dared to blink or breathe throughout my lessons. Of course I did blink and breathe lah, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this post lo. It was only when my instructor reminded me to breathe that I realised I was breathing with care HAHA. Probably afraid that the car would go out of control if I breathed harder lolol.

Hopefully I can get my driving license next year!

7. DID CRAZY STUFF TO MY HAIR

2015 was a year of insane hair damage for me. Dyeing, bleaching, cutting... Thankful for hair masks, conditioners and hair treatments lol.

Started off the year with my hair dyed since prom last year.
I bleached the bottom half of my head and it faded from red to orange.

Really miss my long locks!

Dyed my bleached parts purple.

Cutting my bangs was a really impulsive decision.
I told my babes over supper one day that I was thinking of cutting bangs and when
I got home, I immediately went to cut my fringe.
Grandma saw me cutting my hair in the toilet and helped me instead haha.

Got grandma to cut my hair short for me after my purple hair faded to pink.
I wanted 4minute's Jiyoon's hairstyle after I saw her look for their Crazy promotion.
But I figured that the not-here-not-there length didn't look good
on me so I asked grandma to cut it even shorter a few days later.

Got a new hair colour - ash brown!

Left my hair to grow longer and the colour slowly faded....
Curled my hair here, didn't perm it.

Made another big change by bleaching all my hair and dyeing it ash purple.

Ash purple faded and I became a blondie.

Purple and pink ombre thanks to Kevin's magical hands <3

It's the colour that I've always wanted but didn't have the guts to dye hahaha
Finally did it yay!

My hair turned rainbow after a few weeks of washing.
It's more obvious under lighting and I'm amazed at how the colours can even
turn out like this on their own.

No, my hair is not fried and dry like grass. It may not be in the best condition, but it's not that bad.
I use hair mask with every wash to salvage it and go for hair treatments once in a long while heh.

I'm definitely gonna grow my hair out! Actually wanted to get the granny hair look but I ended up going for shades of purple haha. Next year lo ;p

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------

2015 has been nothing but fruitful and I look forward to 2016!
Thank you for bothering to read my blog even after such a long hiatus from me.
Have a happy new year! xoxo

With love,
